Clara Cicalò
CEO at Publishday is also managing editor at "Medicina delle Dipendenze” (MDD) and socialesalute.it. From 1997 to 2010 she collaborated with “Medicina delle Tossicodipendenze” and from 1995 to 1998 with the Department of Neuroscience of the University of Cagliari; from 1998 to 2003 she was Head of Organization and Human Resources for a research center in the field of neuroscience; from 2004 to 2008 she collaborated with the translation agency CTI – Communication Trend Italia, Milan undertaking the translation and revision of scientific documents from English to Italian, whilst at the same time assisting Gian Luigi Gessa in editing of the volume “Cocaina” (Rubbettino Editore). From 2008 to 2009 she collaborated with the UCRD ASL Cagliari (a Sardinian local government agency on drug abuse) coordinating research and scientific information programs and supporting the dissemination of scientific results in the field of drug abuse and drug dependence. She translated from English to Italian the volume “Addictions” (Italian version “Le tossicodipendenze”, Pier Paolo Pani ed., 2006) and the manuscripts for the special issue on poverty of the journal “Sociologia e Politiche Sociali”, Pete Alcock and Remo Siza eds. (2009). Clara Cicalò graduated in Political Science from the University of Cagliari.
Luigi Filippini
Founder and CEO at Meridies Holding, a business development company established in July 2000 with the purpose of providing seed and growth capital to emerging companies, and participating in the growth and management of startup, he is also founder and CEO at Hosteras, a destination management organization, licensed tour operator and travel agent targeting the Italian tourist market and currently focused on the Sardinian incoming market. He was moreover founder and CEO of Energ.it, a multiutility company operating in the energy, telecommunications and internet sectors, handed over to Atel Group AG in 2006 with a total of approx. 70 employees, and on reaching a turnover of more than 96 million euros. From 1998 to 2000 he was CTO and COO at Tiscali, a telecommunications operator providing Internet and landline services in major European countries; he also assumed a front line position in the company quotation on the Italian stock exchange in 1999. Previously, from 1992 to 1998, he held key positions in Telecom Italia, Video On Line and as member of the Scientific Visualization and Digital Media Division of the CRS4 research center. Luigi Filippini graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pisa.
